Places to Eat and Drink

Swanage is a haven to pubs and restaurants. Try the The Anchor Inn for a pint, gastro-pub food and live music at weekends. Ocean Bay Restaurant affords wonderful views of the bay and  La Trattoria has an extensive menu and wine list - great for lunch or supper.

Health & Beauty and Shops

Relax and unwind at The Lavender Room which offers many treatments and therapies. Perhaps you are a chocolate lover, then Swanage and Chococo is the place for you where hand crafted chocolates are made on the premises.

Activities

Swanage is a great centre for exploring the Eastern part of the Jurassic Coast and the Purbeck region as a whole.  This you can do by care, foot or bike.  There are stunning coastal path walks and views and plenty to see inland.  Locally a good place to start is Durlston Country Park for coastal paths and woodland walks and more besides.

Swanage boasts possibly the oldest dive centre in the country and it is famous for its pier diving.  There are some very good sites within easy reach by boat.  Swanage Boat Charters  run by Martin, Bryan and Pat offers a full and friendly service.
